As the name implies, we are a symphonic wind band that likes to play
challenging music from the contemporary repertoire whilst also performing
the more traditional and entertaining items that our
audiences enjoy so much.
The band was formed in 2004 as part of a
community link when St. Edmund’s Catholic School,
Dover became a Performing Arts Specialist school.
The band is made up of over 60 ex-professional and
competent players, and has been a tremendous training ground for students
in East Kent, UK, to gain experience alongside more able players.
Since its inception in 2004, the band has raised over £35k for
local, national and international charities.
After such a long lay-off we will hopefully resume rehearsals on
9th September 2021 and be working on the programme for
our next concert.
Other concerts are in the pipeline.
