As the name implies, we are a symphonic wind band that likes to play
challenging music from the contemporary repertoire whilst also performing
the more traditional and entertaining items that our audiences enjoy so
much.
The band was formed in 2004 by as part of a
community link when St. Edmund’s Catholic
School, Dover became a Performing Arts
Specialist school.
The band is made up of over 60 ex-
professional and competent players, and has
been a tremendous training ground for students in the
area to gain experience alongside more able players.
Since its inception in 2004, the band has raised over £25k
for local, national and international charities.
